About

Best in Showroom currently features three categories of furniture:

1. Coaster Fine Furniture
Over 5,000 beautiful imported furniture pieces! We stock a few items that you can take immediately, and we can order anything from their extensive online catalogue. Click here to see Coaster’s website and contact me (text: 727-373-3546) for any pricing requests (do not contact Coaster as they do not sell to the general public). Many items can be received at my store or delivered directly to your home in less than 2 weeks, sometimes in a few days.

2. Stanley Chair Custom Seating
Stanley Chair has served the Tampa area for over 50 years. As an established business with a very competitive price point, we are able to order custom upholstered sofas, chairs and sectionals, as well as swivel chairs, rockers, and rattan custom upholstered seating. It usuallly takes 6-8 weeks for order fullfillment, but sometimes sooner. Here is a link to their website.

3. Preowned and Consignment
I have a small showroom, but will be adding select preowned furniture items when there is space to do so, with a preference for mid century modern, coastal, and rattan styles. Most preowned items will be reduced by 10% each week until sold, so don’t give up if you think something is overpriced.

History

Years and years ago, I opened a store in downtown Seattle called “Seattle Home Company”, which closed in 2010. You can still read our Yelp reviews by clicking this link. Does anyone remember Yelp? You can probably even still find some videos of Seattle Home Company on YouTube. Before opening that store, we hosted an amazing event called the “Backpack Project’s Art Orgy” for homeless youth (click for video).

Fast forward to 2023.

The immediate predecesor to Best in Showroom was Storage Consignments by “The Extraordinarily Small Online Furniture Company”, a storage based platform for you to buy, sell, or consign stylish pre-owned furniture, near St Pete Beach. Essentially, it was one step above selling furniture out of the trunk of my car.

After Hurricane’s Helene and Milton flooded our home and business, we relocated to a home in Belleair Bluffs. As luck would have it, a space was vacated, and I was able to open “Best in Showroom” in the area formerly known as Antique Alley in March 2025.

Location

Best in Showroom is located in a space called “Shoppes of the Alley” (formerly known as “Antique Alley”). We are among many other interesting small “shoppes”, including an antique store, a thrift store called “Shabby to Chic” where the proceeds go to help single monthers and battered women, and several other interesting stores for every budget. Make a day of it, and visit us before you head to one of the many beautiful beaches, just over the bridge! Our address is:
