Consignment Program
Update: Jan 4, 2025
In preparation for the opening of the new store in Belleair Bluffs, I am now accepting some items on consignment.
How It Works – Overview
Thank you for considering Best in Showroom to consign your furniture or home decor item. Here are a few guidelines for any consignment items. As is usually the case, a non-smoking home is the first requirement. The condition must be very good to like new. There should be no structural damage, mold or mildew, stains, or odors (pets, food, etc). After reading this page, you may fill out the form below, and make sure to upload photos. If your item is accepted, it will be listed for sale, with the price gradually reduced until sold. You will receive a payout for 50% of the sale price before tax, minus any relevant fees. If you cannot deliver the item to the store, I may be able to arrange pickup for a fee, which is deducted from the consignment payout.
Preferred Styles, Brands & Materials
Preferred styles include coastal, contemporary, mid-century modern, and rattan/wicker. I also like to mix in rustic, industrial, retro, shabby chic/bohemian, and Indonesian/Malaysian.
Preferred brands are those such as Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, Pier 1, Z-Gallerie, Flexsteel, AllModern, Macys, Broyhill, Bassett, Braxton Culler, etc.
I try to avoid fiberboard and manufactured wood, but even pieces from many of the brands above use these materials to some extent.
Not Accepted
Most large cabinets/armoires, bedroom sets requiring extensive assembly, large dining sets (7+ chairs), heavy recliner sofas and reclining sectionals, electronics, items with easily breakable pieces, such as those constructed with extensive glass components.
